Responsibilities include conducting VFC and COVID compliance and quality assurance visits, investigations, surveys, and evaluations of health care facilities and provider offices enrolled in the VFC and/or COVID Vaccine Programs. The employee plans and implements prescribed training for VFC and COVID provider office staff in compliance with federal and state VFC and COVID Vaccine Program guidelines and conducts all components of the on-site VFC visits of public and private healthcare facilities enrolled in the VFC and COVID Vaccine Programs. The employee provides technical assistance regarding the VFC Program, COVID Vaccine Program, VPDIP, current immunization schedules, ACIP recommendations, and TN immunization regulations. The employee provides technical assistance to healthcare professionals to assure proper use (e.g., screening for eligibility, following ACIP recommendations) and management (e.g., storage/handling, documentation, and accountability) of federal vaccines. One position will be stationed out of East Tennessee. One position will be stationed out of Central Tennessee. One position will be stationed out of West Tennessee. Prefer for the candidates to live in the area as they will be driving to providers in their area to conduct required site visits.
