Description:

The Executive Office of Education (EOE) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to add to our application development/support team.
This person will be responsible for developing new code and supporting existing code hosted across the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and the Department of Higher Education (DHE) website properties. This position will work with stakeholders and the development team to design develop and support Salesforce and related applications using industry standard practices and tools.
EOE IT follows a lean/agile development methodology. The ideal candidate can work in all tiers of the architecture and has experience with SalesForce.com platform and integrations with Blackboard and DocuSign, as well as experience with transformation from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. They will also have experience in all phases of software development – design, development, unit test, QA test support and defect remediation specific to Salesforce platform, as well as experience performing Salesforce admin duties.

Responsibilities

1. The Senior Salesforce developer is responsible for collaborating with the EOE/DESE/EEC/DHE Organization, Project Managers, Architect, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, in the process of creating software deliverables and artifacts.
2. As a member of the team, you must adhere to the organizations methodologies and standards, and propose improvements based on software development best practices.
3. Perform Salesforce.com admin duties as needed.
4. Salesforce.com and related integration platforms development support
5. Participation in efforts including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, roll out and documentation creation
6. Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform
7. Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts
8. Participate in regularly scheduled meeting to discuss current tasks and status.
9. Submit weekly status reports.

Education and Experience Level

1. Minimum of a bachelors degree with a major in software engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
2. Thorough knowledge of tools and processes used in the Software Development Lifecycle Process related to Salesforce platform.
3. Proven record of accomplishment working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders and with cross-functional teams.
4. 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Admin
a. Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 100+ users
b. Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
c. Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
d. Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
5. 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce.com developer with Force.com Platform
a. Expertise in Apex. Extensive experience developing custom Apex Classes, Triggers and salesforce.com APIs
b. Good understanding of code metrics
c. Salesforce Lightning Web Component experience
d. Proficiency with development tooling such as Force.com IDE, Visual Studio Code.
e. Experience with Sandboxes and Code deployment process
6. ADM 201 and DEV 401 certifications <
