Location: Brea, CA

Data Analyst / Developer

Overview of position
o We are seeking a strong Data Analyst/Developer that will work with Executive level individuals to assess needs for Website User Analytics, Transaction Analytics and the dependency between the two; Analyze available data sources and then analyze existing reports for sales, web analytics, marketing and services.
o Candidate will also be responsible for building a strategy for bringing data from multiple systems into a single location.
o Candidate will work with the business and development teams to design and provide hands on development of new data extracts, reports, views and dashboards.
o The incumbent will also run ad hoc reports and provide operational data from time to time or help organize and automate report delivery.
o Data Analyst will seek to understand and discern patterns or insights in the data to help business identify opportunities for practice or product improvements.

Job Requirements
o Ability to use data modeling tools like, ERWin, Oracle Designer, System Architecture or Describe.
o Ability to work with DB2 UDB, SQL Server or Oracle, creating tables, indexes, queries etcK
o Ability to explain DW concepts to non-technical people; ability to communicate professionally to all levels within and outside of the organization.
o Proficient in logical data modeling.
o Experience with both analytical and operational reporting environments, preferably in an eCommerce and/or insurance space.
o Comfortable playing lead role in managing or driving projects forward.
o Familiarity with ETL processes, data analytics, receiving and managing data file transfer from and to external parties.
o Experience with BI software platforms necessary, MicroStrategy ideal.
