AWS Azure Work Independently And Perform Job With Minimal Supervision MS SQL Excelle   Requirement id 100842 Job title Administrator Job location in Peoria, IL Skills required SQL Queries, AWS, Azure, Work Independently And Perform Job With Open Date 03-Dec-2019 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 12 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Administrator: SQL Queries, AWS, Azure, Work Independently And Perform Job With Job Description : Candidate Responsibilities *Manage SQL server databases & Cosmos DB through multiple product life cycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers and team members. • Migrate data from enterprise-hosted databases to cloud-hosted data services like AWS RDS. • Work with the following tools and technologies: Cosmos DB, MS SQL server administration; performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools; backup, restore, and recovery models; windows server, including active directory; high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL server; and leading cloud platforms like Azure or AWS Typical Day *Support a globally distributed Azure SQL/Cosmos DB environment. This is a suite of databases that are geo-replicated in the Azure environment. This position would support, maintain, tune and manage all of the databases within the environments including DEV, QA & PRD in a High Availability solution. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Off shift support coverage required.
