Job Description :

Our Great Client in the Greater Milwaukee Area is looking for a talented Functional Product Owner/Business Analyst to join their team.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience in Retail
Agile
May need to manage multiple projects at once
Strong Communication, Collaboration, and Documentation Skills

SCOPE

May be on one or more agile teams, driving the functional requirements for the team based on Epic(s) provided by the Product Manager.
Functional subject matter expert for the specific products they are working.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Scope Management:

Manages the prioritization of user stories in each sprint.
Clearly understands the Epics which will support user story development.
Leads business stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, acceptance criteria, and risks, all which support user story development.
Clearly understands, documents, and communicates business requirements to the team in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure all team questions and issues related to user story requirements are resolved.
Accountable for ensuring current and future business process flows, context diagrams, and any other artifacts which support the user stories are created and kept updated.
In collaboration with the Product Manager, upfront research and documentation of Non-Functional Requirements, in collaboration with business and engineering.
In collaboration with Product Manager, Stakeholders & Engineering to elicit non-functional requirements up front in each project.
In collaboration with the Product Manager and Analytics Product Manager and Owner, develop and document KPIs, Analytics, Reporting needs up front in project to measure against expected ROI and project success.
Leverages the groups user story template.
Identify applicable standard user stories for each release.
Responsible for accepting all functional user stories on behalf of the business stakeholders.
Ensure traceability of user stories to Epic acceptance criteria.
Ensure user stories are linked to the relevant Epic. No orphan user stories.
Collaborate with Product Manager on refinement and product backlog prioritization.
Communicate scope changes to Product Manager.
Collaborate with other Product Owners for awareness of cross-team impacts.
Understand functions of system interfaces and their associated data.

Supporting Team Functions:

Assists the Product Manager before, during, after Planning Events, which includes prioritization of Epics and User Stories. During Planning Event, drives team through story definition and prioritization.
Assists the Product Manager in reviewing and contributing to product roadmap and content of presentations.
Responsible for defect prioritization and business impact.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and QA on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and gain approval.
Collaborate with business stakeholders on user training.
Support performance testing for product portfolio.
Supports Product Manager in articulating scope and impact for release management.
Supports functional release validation and business adoption.
Creates and deliver presentations and communication to business and management.
Actively participates in agile ceremonies

Team Development:

Mentors and coaches less experienced team members.
Partners with peers to drive clarity of role and team processes.
