We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Senior Java Architect In this position, individual will design and implement software solutions, and assure appropriate technologies are used to meet the business needs. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Participate in analysis, design, coding, and maintenance of applications throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy applications written in older technologies such as ColdFusion, VB, and Access related to the Open Systems team. Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such as technical designs, schemas, as appropriate. Participate and provide guidance in development activities which may include data analysis, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models, testing and implementation. Develop and provide guidance in quality assurance processes including code reviews, performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry, state, and federal standards. Provide technical guidance to team of developers. Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. 60 - 84 Months-Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Preferred Qualifications: 60 months experience which involve planning, designing, implementing, and integrating scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design and JEE Design Patterns. 60 months developing applications that are implemented with JAVA Development Kit (JDK 1.5 or higher). 24 months experience in deploying JAVA applications in JBOSS. 60 months performing development of applications developed using Web Services, JPA and/or Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases. 36 months experience in developing and deploying multi-tier web applications. Experience to include Integrated Justice (IJ) framework, Java Server Faces, Groovy Grails, and Spring framework. 24 months developing, implementing, and integrating systems related to Public Safety including critical infrastructure, emergency response systems, and criminal justice services.
