Identify opportunity for business process improvement and develop and create new process innovations. Will capture current state and design state so that it aligns with business goals and objectives while looking for ways to streamline and reduce cost or time to deliver final products. Activities to be performed: • Consults with DMV business elements to define business need or problem; conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtain data; and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization. • Conducts study or survey on need or problem to obtain data required for solution. • Analyzes data to determine solution, such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, modification of machines or equipment, or redesign of products or services. • Requires experience providing consulting services to governmental entities. • Provides documentation according to agency standards. • Understand and resolve gaps between identified vendor product(s) and lTD business process(es). • Works with ITD Subject Matter Experts to review and finalize requirements and business process documents. Required Skills: Extensive Business Process Analysis, Automation, Workflow, and Reengineering experience. • Very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of industry specific needs of the customer. • Expertise in strategic planning, change management, project management and tactical execution. • Possesses knowledge and experience leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements. • Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organizations • systems and capabilities. • Understands the need to avoid optimizing one particular business segment/solution at the risk of sub-optimizing upstream/downstream business units, customers or solutions. • Highly experienced negotiation and presentation skills. • Able to function independently with minimal direction I guidance. • Fundamentals of process mapping experience. (i.e 6-sigma, LEAN, etc. ) Additional requirements: a. Proven integrity, ethics, reliability and professionalism b. Demonstrated ability to train staff in new procedures and follow up to ensure learning is taking place and new processes are replacing outdated ones. c. Demonstrated adaptability and innovation in overcoming technical roadblocks d. Project management knowledge; PMP, Agile or CBPP certified preferable. e.
