Job Description Specialist: LANDesk Management, BMC, MS Office 2007,

Core Job Functions:

Zone II
n Analyzes, plans, tests, installs, and deploys PC hardware, software, and peripherals;
n Creates and maintains operational documentation;
n Resolves issues regarding PC hardware, software and peripherals;
n Researches and resolves technical questions by reading and comprehending technical manuals and online support tools.
n Assists clients in the use of PCs, office applications, and peripherals;
n Provides 24 X 7 on-call support to resolve assigned problems
n Performs PC hardware and software management as required, including the testing of software updates;
n Documents work products via Time Accounting, Support Magic and other performance measures
n Obtains vendor quotations requests for hardware and/or software
n Maintains inventory controls and documentation
n User Account Management
o Create, modify, and delete
o Reset Passwords
o Remote Access Server (RAS) Setup (Crypto and Virtual Private Network (VPN))

Zone III
n All job functions of Zone II
n Conducts presentations as required;
n Analyzes PC software and hardware performance data;
n Assists City agencies in reviewing specifications for procurement of technical equipment;
n Prepares technical reports and manuals;
n Conducts need assessment and comparative analyses;
n Supervises and monitors quality of work;
n Ensures appropriate developmental opportunities for team members;

n Network Associates - Support Magic
n Ability to multitask;
n PC and Mobile Devices (PDAs\Laptops\Tablet PC\Blackberry\etc.)
