The Application Architect I participates in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across all technologies and platforms, for highly complex projects with large scopes. Documents development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment. Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs. Serves as expertise in all aspects of designing and application development. May conduct training to IT Staff. Responsible for the overall system design of highly complex applications. Works with business unit to determine requirements for databases, applications, and operation systems. Provides mentorship and guidance to Application Architect I Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field required. Masters degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in Application Architecture or related field required. Additional Skills: Must have prior Cloud experience with Google or On Prem Kubernetes-- will be supporting the migration efforts of existing applications into the CloudProven, working experience and knowledge in various Build/Package/Deploy solutions using CI tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.Experience administering repository services like git, Stash/Bitucket, Nexus, DTR for an Agile development methodologySystem design (multi tier, micro services, cloud services)Experience working with Docker and KubernetesAutomation experience -- Work with REST APIsScripting experience - preferably Python, Ruby or bashConfiguration management experience using solutions like: Ansible , Puppet, or ChefParticipate in on-call rotations.
