Description: The University of Wisconsin-Madison requires a Business Intelligence Technical Lead IV to support data warehousing and real-time data integration initiatives, and design, build, deploy and monitor data repository systems to ensure reliability and accuracy of information loaded into the databases. Analyze the logical and physical database models, and ensure models are in accordance with standards. Build data integrations between enterprise systems such as Workday and cloud data repositories (e.g. AWS Redshift). Generate and prepare reports to drive business objectives. Perform analysis and testing of relational databases, and investigate any data load failures or data retrieval issues. Key responsibilities include: ? Data requirements gathering and definition ? Data and business modeling ? Data integration, transport, synchronization and engineering ? Data repository design This position will work consultatively with IT and business partners to define, express and maintain a data model to support UW-Madisons Ancillary Systems Program initiative. Required Skills / Experience: ? Minimum 3 years experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Technical Lead or similar role: ? Specific, recent experience designing and deploying data infrastructure components in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP) ? Specific, recent experience deploying cloud infrastructure in a devops environment using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Cloud Formation or Terraform. ? Experience working with event-driven data architectures, including queueing and publish/subscribe methodologies. ? In-depth understanding of database structure principles ? Strong understanding of object-oriented design or domain-driven design ? Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements ? Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouses ? Strong expertise in SQL and Workday (experience with cloud databases such as Amazon Redshift preferred) ? Familiarity with object relational models (ORM) ? Proven analytical skills ?
