Perform as the technical and procedural lead responsible for complex Managed VoIP service activations. Review and verify proper design/functionality of the associated elements within facilities/transport, IP routing, switching, and connectivity to new customer networks, CPE, and WAN/LAN devices. 2. Review LAN/VoIP readiness assessments and coordinate VoIP architecture calls with customers taking the lead in the overall activations process with Managed VoIP Project Management, NAC, and Managed VoIP Support teams. 3. Work with the Customer to design and test IP layer communication between the XO/ECC Core and the Customer LAN (firewalls, layer 3 switches, etc.) Coordinate the installation and testing of the PacketSmart probe. 4. Verify call processing, call routing, feature functionality and overall platform functionality at service activation. Support the Project Manager and Customers technical questions and answers associated with ECC feature functionality, portal operation, and solutions design (call flows, hunt groups, and designs for sustaining in the production environment. 5. Train other team members as needed on Managed VoIP activations processes and procedures. 6. Effectively manage internal and external resources and establish and maintain processes which prioritize work load based on business objectives. 7. Responsible for all decisions regarding the procedural and technical requirements to complete Managed VoIP implementation. 8. Must be able to work with and manage Customer, Customer Vendors, Sales Engineering, Project Management, Network Engineering, CO, and Field Services Technicians and Repair teams to successfully design, configure, and implement complex managed VoIP implementations. *Either skills or additional skills are required Additional Skills: Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience Licensures: CCNA + Voice, CCNP (preferred) Relevant Work Experience: 5-7 years relevant work experience in telecommunications switch engineering, MPLS and SIP, CPE router configuration; VoIP phone system configuration, installation, and support; LAN switching configuration, installation, and support. Must be a self-starter who will conduct and manage customer calls, and design and implement XO Managed VoIP solutions with minimal supervision. This includes management of customer vendor, Engineering, CO, Field Services, and NAC technicians, Managed VoIP project management, and Managed VoIP support teams required to complete network installations.
