This position coordinates visual information programs and DA photographs through consultation, analysis, design, development, procurement, production of VI products and services and fulfills user requirements for the Nebraska Army National Guard (NEARNG) within the GuardNet enclave of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). This position works within the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) G6 Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) and also works directly with the Public Affairs Office (PAO) and Graphic Arts departments. Visual Information consists of visual materials such as web page designs and SharePoint page creation, digital photographs, digital video, audio/visual, projection, graphs and charts, diagrams, slides and models. The VI program also includes enterprise management of digital signage throughout the organization. This work includes the management and resolution of issues related to the State of Nebraska VI program, VIOS ticket resolution, diagnosis of hardware and software for Cisco AppSpace; completing documentation and referring more complex/technical problems to the G6 System Support Supervisor or other information technology staff (e.g., programmers, database analysts). This position supports all members of the NEARNG and Nebraska Military Department (NMD) for visual information and DA photo support. This position works directly with G6 System Support Help Desk and PAO staff. This position also occasionally coordinates directly with users. Mandatory Position Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen (proof of citizenship required upon selection) Must provide information on the Resume of having a FAVORABLE SECRET-LEVEL INVESTIGATION. This is NOT the same as a SECRET Clearance. Inquiry will be made during the interview to confirm with Social Security Number. See Federal Screening section. Associate Degree in computer science or related field OR 3 years equivalent experience Minimum one year experience in providing help desk services or related IT customer services Photography experience preferred, not required. Amateur knowledge of photography also preferred. Mandatory Position Requirements (continued) Must meet DoD 8570.1 IA Workforce Baseline level IAT-I or higher (see attached DoD 8570.1 IA Workforce Table at end of position description). IAT-I certification requirements include one of the following: CompTIA A+ce, Network+ce, SSCP, CCNA-Security. All higher-level certifications cover IAT-II requirements (Example: CASP certified individual is certified at IAT-I through III). Proof of certification must be provided upon candidate selection. If candidate is not IAT-II compliant, the candidate has a 6 month period to become compliant. Initial Screening: If selected, the candidate must successfully pass a State of Nebraska-processed background investigation of education, Federal criminal record, eVerify, OIG-GSA, drug test and sex offender checks. Additional checks, including an NACI, may be required by Federal personnel management prior to issue of contractor CAC card for system access.
