Description: Nebraska Violent Death Reporting System (NeVDRS) program is seeking a contractor for data abstraction required of NeVDRS/SUDORS cases from death certificate information, law enforcement reports, and Coroner reports and entering required information as agreed to by the parties into CDC National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) and State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS). Work will be about 20 hours per week up to 800 hours. Work must be on-site in Lincoln.. Contractor shall meet with DHHS program staff for an initial kick-off meeting, in-person or virtual (Zoom, Webex, or a similar platform), Contractor will facilitate data record requests, follow-up, receipt and tracking for identified NeVDRS and SUDORS cases within Agencies and Offices across Nebraska in collaboration with NeVDRS/SUDORS program manager. This may include utilization of SFTP, encrypted email and/or postal mail. Contractor will abstract the required NVDRS data elements from violent death cases as assigned by NeVDRS/SUDORS Program Manager and enter information into the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Secure Access Management (SAMS) database. Contractor will complete the required online training for data abstraction in the CDC Train web-based system. Meet regularly with NeVDRS staff to: Discuss project planning and implementation of data abstraction Develop and coordinate process to assign cases, track completeness, check data entry and conduct continually process improvement projects.
