Ideal candidates will have 7-10 years of experience gathering and manipulating data via SQL and Excel to help identify assets and help classify them, along with building out best practices with the asset management team and network team. #1. Background using an Asset Visibility tool (they use Tanium) to track all IP addresses in an environment. Once completed, use SQL and Excel Pivots to pull reports of the specific assets to check and see if the non-catalogued IPs are properly documented in their CMDB (ServiceNow) #2. Simultaneously while figuring out what assets JCI owns, how many, and where, and properly implementing this information into their SMDB, theyre looking for this person to be able to classify groups of assets, create best-in-class standards so these mistakes dont happen in the future. Day to Day The client is looking to collect data involving items (servers, TVs, PCs, etc) that are not on their existing CMDB and create best practices to get them onto the CMDB quickly. Resource must be familiar with best ways to classify groups of assets, create best practices, and assist with getting those non-cataloged IP items onto the CMDB. Required Skills 7-10 years of experience working with data involving IP assets and experience taking non-cataloged items and getting them into the CMDB. Experience building out best practices across the enterprise involving asset management Experience with transient (inconsistent showing assets) and the best way to catalog/get them into the CMDB.
