As the Nations public health agency, HRSAs mission is to provide direct and indirect resources to see to the health care needs of the medically under-served in the United States. In order to do so, HRSA requires extensive data on population, income, existing health care resources, the health workforce, as well as various other types of contextual data. Data are stored in the HDW repository and published to the HRSA intranet and the internet via numerous web applications, mobile applications, formatted SQL Server reports, data services, and other mechanisms. The candidate will serve as a .Net/GIS developer in a team environment, implementing web applications using technologies such as C#, XML, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JSON and SQL Server. The candidate must have excellent technical skills to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and good communication and interpersonal skills to work in a customer-focused team environment. Candidate will be a member of an experienced project team. Qualifications the candidate must have: * BS or MS in CS or a related field (or equivalent experience); * 5 - 7 years of experience of developing web-based applications with C# or other OO language; * Experience in GIS applications, GIS database design/management, and/or GIS web application development; * Experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Python geoprocessing scripts and similar tools, and loading the data into ArcSDE for SQL Server; * Experience with ESRI Web API for JavaScript * Advanced knowledge of a enterprise geodatabase and relational database management systems including, but not limited to ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and SQL Server; * Advanced knowledge of using the various ArcToolbox geoprocessing tools; * Possess a working knowledge of GIS scripting such as SQL, VB, VBA/Avenue, Python, or other language; * Understanding of the software development lifecycle, strong analysis skills, experience in designing, developing, implementing testing .NET based applications; * Specific development experience with .Net 4.0, WCF, MVC; * Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript; * Experience with modern JavaScript libraries including JQuery, Ajax and JSON format; * Experience with relational databases including strong SQL skills, Design Patterns, etc.; * Familiarity with source control, defect tracking, debugging etc.; * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and in a team; * Flexible and able to adapt to new processes and requirements in a dynamic environment. * Ability to manage workload within multiple projects, delivering results within agreed deadlines; * Proactively demonstrate new ideas and innovation. The candidate should possess the following skills: * Extensive knowledge working with C# and .NET * Experience with ESRIs GIS software * Experience with Visual Studio 2010/2012 and Team Foundation Server. * Experience working with SQL Server 2008/2012. * Extensive knowledge for JQuery and Ajax. * Experience with Agile software development methodology. * Experience with developing map products with ArcGIS Desktop for cartographic map production in an engineering or production map environment is highly desired. * Exposure to SSIS and SSRS a plus. * Experience with CMMI Level-3 processes a plus. * Knowledge of Telerik and Resharper a plus * Experience or understanding of web securities a plus * Experience or skills using nHibernate Framework a plus. * Experience with ArcGIS server load balance / performance tuning a plus. * Experience with ArcGIS 10.1 server administration and/or program development   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
