Qualifications: BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or in closely related field, or combination of education and work experience. Three plus years leading a team of network professionals in the planning, implementation and support of Cisco Layer 2, 3 and 4 networks in a large heterogeneous campus LAN or Corporate WAN environment of more than 1000 users. Advanced capabilities in Cisco collaboration technologies, including CallManager, Presence, Unity, Contact Center Express, Cisco Endpoints, TelePresence, Video, etc... Experience in working Microsoft UC components, including Lynk, Domain Architectures, Exchange Server, SQL, etc... An understanding of Data Center technologies, including Virtualization, Storage, Switching, Cisco UCS and Automation Systems. Familiar with Network Facility designs including Cable Plant, UPS, Electrical and HVAC Systems. Familiar with Windows, Apple, UNIX and LINUX desktops and servers. Proven track record of communicating technically and non-technically with all levels of organizations, including VP, CIO, Managers, Engineers, Program Managers, etc. Ability to travel throughout the US and abroad. Preferred Qualifications: Current CCNA, CCNP, CCSP or CCVP, MCSE certification(s). Project Management Training. TIA-EIA or BICSI training. Duties: Project Management Collaboration 15% - Identify and prioritize all project related tasks. Ability to organize, strategize and communicate project goals, objectives and tasks at all levels of the organization. Demo Engineering 50% - Inventory, rack, cable and configure all Solution components, switches, routers, modules, appliances and servers that support customer demonstration models. Draft, test and troubleshoot demonstration scripts. Work as the liaison to the operations team to resolve issues identified during the development and testing process, providing technical support and making design recommendations for fixes. Provide schematics as required of design concepts aiding in the build and troubleshooting of customer demonstrations. Platform Design 20% - Must properly document and plan all projects prior to entering project build phase. Candidate must be well versed in the use of standard design templates and tools (Visio, ppt, MS Project). Support 10% - Provide technical support to level 1 & 2 support engineers, Program Managers and others ensuring that demonstrations are in working order. Test and replicate issues on the support row as required. Log into remote sites, test and apply fixes as required. Make recommendations to on-site support staff to negate future demonstration disruptions. Track and log escalations effectively. Other 5% - Maintain lab by documenting support networks and changes. Support development engineers as required. Plan, present and implement recommendations on lab changes. Attend meetings. Make training recommendations. Other responsibilities as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Collaboration and Unified Communications Solutions. Expert skill in IP subnetting, including VLSM. Demonstrated, in-depth working knowledge of Cisco IOS, including the latest code revisions, upgrading/downgrading firmware and the CLI. Demonstrated, in-depth working knowledge of VLAN, STP, PVST, 802.1q, and Trunking. Current knowledge of Cisco ISR hardware, including Network Modules, Interface Cards, Power over Ethernet, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of ACL. Knowledge of the TIA/EIA 802.11 standards.
