Senior Business Analyst ---code SBA081913LB-C

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 3 month contract to assist with the ICD-10 Compliancy Project for the Walgreens Healthcare Clinics. The Analyst will have primary responsibility for working with subject matter experts, vendors, business units, other members of IT, and the billing team to facilitate timely completion and accuracy of the requirements artifacts in support of the ICD-10 Compliancy Project and other EHR related projects. Must have the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals and be able to translate needs, ideas, and suggestions into logical solutions that interconnect systems. The qualified candidate will have experience as a Business Analyst for projects involving software development and systems integration to backend billing systems. Prior healthcare experience to include knowledge of EHR, medical coding, claims processing, and billing is required. Experience with Medicaid/Medicare is also desired.

Job Requirements:

X Bachelors degree or 5+ years of IT experience.

X 1 year experience required, 3+ desired, in clinical healthcare working with an EHR.

X 3+ years experience in healthcare billing and receivables.

X Prior experience with GE Centricity/IDX Groupcast desired.

X Prior experience with medical coding.

X 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst working with software development.

X Understanding of common SDLC methodologies to include RUP, agile, etc.

X Experience in writing detailed requirements of user needs, business impacts, and system functionality for software development life cycle that are actionable, definable, relevant, measurable, and testable.

X Experience in business process modeling, process analysis, and process improvement.

X Knowledge of Healthcare industry trends and formats including (HL7, HIPAA X12, HIE, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT)

X Experience in identifying healthcare operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

X Prior consulting experience desired.

X Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with team members and customers from diverse backgrounds.

X Ability to learn new and complex subject areas quickly.

X Extended working hours may be required as needed.

X Ability to travel as required by project.
