Proficient in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design. Defines data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation within complex environments. Creates and maintains the metadata repository. Reviews business requirements and ensures the data design meets the goals. Recommends data policy. Researches and recommends DBMS and ETL tools. Reviews and enforces data design principles. Responsible for creating highly efficient solutions. Works independently within a team, provides strategic technical project direction. Sets technical standards and provides project-level work product reviews. Analyze existing data environments to prepare them for future strategic migration. Provides architectural guidance for a project. Accountable for quality, completeness, and on-time delivery of an assigned project. Develop and implement data strategy and associated policies within complex assignments. Develop and maintain a formal description of the data and data structures, architecture and framework through the metadata repository. Minimum 6 years relevant experience. Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Domain knowledge in multiple technical and business areas. Ability to perform across all phases of functional requirements. Ability to clearly document own work products and review and contribute to the documentation across complex assignments. Ability to identify problems or opportunities within the scope of the departments projects. Proficient in multiple data modeling technologies. Estimate the technical work effort for medium to large sized projects. Serve as an escalation point for technical problems.
