Duties include resolving and tracking user issues; designing, specifying, testing and documenting program modifications and functional enhancements · Ensure users have appropriate permissions to systems and perform regular security audits. · Create and maintain appropriate level of operational documentation for Service Desk and Event management teams. · Identify sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences. · Participate as a member of "one team" for afterhours support as required for production releases · Support software-related escalations and drive resolution as required · Provide root cause analysis and impact validation for system outages · Monitor system performance while maintaining the parameters and thresholds required · Provide guidance, leadership, and expertise to Service Desk and Event Management teams · Builds and maintains templates and scripts to automate any improvements for the Service Desk and Event Management teams · Works with Operations and Incident management to quickly manage and resolve complex issues and outages. · Proficient at identifying sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences · Proficient at performing system monitoring, verifying availability of all hardware, systems, reviewing system and application logs and verifying the completion of scheduled jobs. · Responsible for business relationship management, collaborating with vendor resources, reporting and analysis Qualifications Minimum required · Minimum 2 years experience in systems, databases and hardware support required. · Minimum 2 years experience in troubleshooting customer related issues and managing customer relationships required. · Working understanding of software development principles and methodologies. · Working understanding of testing, quality and change management methodologies. · Extensive experience scripting / coding in the context of software operations. · Ability to work directly with development teams to provide operational requirements to proposed solutions · Ability to articulate technical situations to a non-technical audience as needed. · Experience in Service Level Management and Service Engineering areas. · Working experience with ITIL processes · Knowledge of current trends and developments in the area of ITSM Education Minimum Required Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
