Candidate will need to follow ITD standard operating procedures and participate in the creation or modification of all Tier 1 & Tier 2 procedures. Detailed tracking and narration of the work and time dedicated to work is required via the LANDesk work distribution and tracking system as well as ITDs Asset Management tracking procedures. Candidate must be able to communicate with various employees of the Idaho Transportation Department and provide in person assistance in support of mobile devices. This may require travel to customer locations throughout the state. Must be comfortable with giving presentations to various groups of device users to explain products and provide in-depth training. Candidate will be expected to work with vendors of products, and assist with the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process if devices need to be returned to the factory. Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Tier 1 and 2 IT support skills for voice, data and video technology. Configuration and repair skills for PC, printer, IP phones and other peripheral devices will be required, to include adding and removing systems and users from Active Directory User Groups. Experience must include installing new images on computers, completing backup/restores, using software to wipe hard drives, remote computer support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Also must be familiar with mobile device imaging and deployment. Familiarity with mobile tablets such as the Apple IPAD, Motion R12, Microsoft Surface Pro, and Samsung Galaxy is desired. Experience with Idaho driver license testing stations and testing software is also preferred, to include Software Thru Solutions Road Scholar and Examiner, as well as WTS server management. Must have excellent customer service and documentation skills. Ability to create technical diagrams using Visio is a must. Capability to synthesize technical information and provide written instructions to end users of a system or device is paramount. Knowledge of end-point security products such as McAfee Drive Encryption, Virus Scan Enterprise, Host Intrusion Prevention System, Application Control, Data Loss Prevention, Integrity Monitoring, and Change Control is highly preferred.
