The solution architect applies knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems on a required basis, while collaborating with other stakeholders to meet project objectives and goals. The solution architect is the only technical resource with the solution end to end view, and uses this perspective to align solutions to requirements, while directing engineering teams and documenting solutions. The solution architect will identify risks and standard exceptions associated with each solution, and will work with vendors to remediate. The solution architect will also work with application owners and project teams to deliver solutions that meet security, state and local, as well as regulatory principles, standards, and guidelines. Perform solution requirement intake through plan, design, build, and operation transition for applications deployed across Stanford Health Care locations and cloud providers Write solution technical documentation that includes technical requirements, technical architecture and engineering design, and technical environment specification turnover documentation Submit server build, database build, Citrix build, load balancing build, firewall rule, and account access requests using Service Now. The architect will facilitate issue resolution and cross team engagement Complete solution handoff to operations and the application teams. The architect will ensure technical integrity and consistency of each solution factoring in requirements and design/build changes that occur during user acceptance testing Review, interpret, and respond to business requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future infrastructure capabilities Conceive, design, optimize, and integrate information technology based solutions to complex business problems Collaborate and communicate with customers to analyze and translate business requirements and vendor provided system specifications of the solution into a cohesive design Conduct and review detailed technical design with technology subject-matter experts; transition design to implementation engineers and assist with implementation plan construction, if needed Liaison with the project manager on scope and requirement changes to the designed solutions; ensure documentation is updated in alignment with the changes Identify and recommend extensions to existing patterns to the Enterprise Architecture and Security teams Knowledge, Skills and Abilities These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification.
