Job Description Developer: ETL, Data Engineer, Tableau, Sql Skills

Description:

Ability to work on a wide range of/highly specialized/cutting edge technology(ies) such as enterprise solutions, system integration, technical architecture, business intelligence, infrastructure, technology research, new technology development, etc; delivery high quality solutions across multiple platforms/technical domains; ability to learn on the fly and deliver designs/solutions quickly.

Creates ETL pipelines, visualizations and dashboards, access data from a variety of sources for providing analytical insights. Works closely with Data Analysts to scope, design and implement end to end data engineering solutions. Provides analytical insights gleaned from underlying data. Accountabilities:

Ø Create extract, transform and load (ETL) processes based on data and analytics needs.

Ø Build custom data-driven frameworks/solutions and leverage off-the-shelf data products and tools.

Ø Build reports/dashboards, automate, refine reports and support.

Ø Work with business teams to help them define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports.

Ø Provide analysis and issue resolution on business reported concerns.

Ø Maintains a high degree of business functional knowledge

Ø Adheres to all policies and procedures concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information

Ø Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Required Skills: Ø 5+ years of experience in data engineering/BI solutions

Ø Exceptionally strong SQL skills

Ø Building end to end data engineering solutions

Ø Strong knowledge on building data model including relational and dimensional models

Ø ETL tool experience (MSBI preferred)

Ø Experience on BI reporting tools (Power BI preferred, Tablaeu a plus)

Ø Hands on with different data eco systems (Netezza, relational, mainframe, flat files) a plus

Ø Consulting experience a plus

Nice to haves:
Ø Insurance industry background a plus

Ø Cloud experience a plus

Ø Analytics understanding and visualization is a must

Ø Experience with Agile a plus

Ø Relevant bachelor degree a plus

Ø Python and R programming a plus
