Job Description Engineer: Windows Platform Engineer, Security Tools, Esx, Tuning DFS VBscript PowerShell

Description :

A contractor is needed in Columbus, Ohio to fulfill the role of Windows Platform Engineer. This position is key to developing the engineering platform and long term future direction plans of the technology roadmap for Windows. The engineer will be responsible to develop Windows solutions and develop actionable plans to execute the clients go forward strategy, or promote standardization and simplification. He or she will provide lead role in various level projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Must have a heavy background in all current Windows OS, x86 technology, clustering, multiple hypervisors/virtual technology, HP server hardware, and HP tools software, Security Tools, Automation mindset
The candidate would bring leading industry best practices and have professional verbal and written communication skills
Windows server management - DCs, IIS, KMS, OS installation and maintenance
Virtualization - ESX, MS, ICA
Tools - Tripwire, SQL Always On, SIM, VCS, RDP, VBScript
Familiarity with misc. technologies - AD, DFS, PowerShell, Grid computing
Hardware - rack mount and blade technology installation
Ability to open, manage, solve and close problems with vendor support centers
Performance and tuning experience
High degree of experience in Secured Configuration
Solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma
High degree Automation and Cloud mindset
Disaster recovery experience and knowledge is a plus
