The candidate will have a liaison role in coordinating network changes with application development areas, program areas, end users and the Division of Enterprise Technology. A Strong communication skill with verbalizing technology to end users is required. The candidate will work with different vendors, State Agencies, business partners and customers to resolve network connectivity issues or implement new infrastructure or application changes. A working knowledge of the state BCN and billing methodologies is a plus. The candidate should have the ability to monitor network for performance and security related issues, provide recommendations, and coordinate resolution of such issues with DCF business partners to tune the network for optimum performance. Coordinate and troubleshoot the delivery of wireless, network access control, WAN optimization, Voice over IP and firewall issue resolution. The candidate would be expected to utilize industry standard best practices and methodologies and provide knowledge transfer to other staff through both direct communication and formal documentation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected along with the ability to manage small projects as assigned.
