Description:

Title: Technical Leader/Technical Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quarterly)


-The client is seeking for a Technical Leader/Technical Manager to lead engineering groups, in the design, development and engineering of hardware and software products.
-The ideal candidate provides a demonstrated ability to manage projects with minimal supervision, driving a cross-functional team and leveraging technical knowledge and project management experience.
-This position provides a great opportunity for developing the foundation for either technical or management-level career advancement.

-May be responsible for providing technical consultation and leadership in the design and development efforts of complex engineering projects or may be responsible for providing highly specialized and authoritative technical leadership to a small group of engineers working on a project.

-Must be able to initiate and consult on original and creative technical efforts. This may include the following:

- Working with key customers in assigned areas to determine or create technical approaches to satisfy market needs.
-Initiates projects that will have a broad applicability in Clients product line applying unique approaches.
-Responsible for leading technical decisions required on a project. May take a product through some or all stages of product development.
-Responsible for technical content of design reviews and code walkthroughs.
-Takes a leadership role in the technical content of the system specification/unit functional specification
-Helps engineers find ways to attack new or difficult problems.
-Develops or consults on internal training programs.
-Acts as a general technical resource for workers in assigned area.
-Establishes well-defined technical direction and aligns the direction with that of client.
-Reviews plan and write specifications for assigned area.
- Identifies issues and technical interdependencies and suggests possible changes.

-Typically requires BSEE/CS or equivalent with 10+ years relevant experience in Embedded Systems and applications, experience developing software for purpose built Digital media platforms, tablets, smart phones and smart TVs is highly desired.

-Applies extensive experience as a networking generalist or specialist to develop a new generation of network solutions, integrated with Client products as well as third party products.
-Ability to provide technical leadership at the cross-functional level.
-Initiates informal reviews of ideas and technical objectives within and across business units.
-Work is performed without appreciable direction.
-Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
-Completed work is reviewed by management and through consultation from a relatively long time perspective for results.
