Leads the creation, preparation, review and execution of quality assurance activities. Works with partners to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve escalated issues during the testing process. Analyzes application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and technical functional specification documents. Uses advanced knowledge of technology in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems. Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Creates, prioritizes and directs quality assurance and test execution activities. Leads testing teams, development teams and project teams onshore and offshore to provide training, resolve escalated issues, assess testing needs, and recommend changes. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff to resolve critical and non-routine scenarios. Experience, skills, and interest necessary to perform the following specific duties at a senior level, including leading and supporting junior team members to do the same. Manage self and peers to enforce testing strategies for ECS Quality Engineering that mitigate the risk to Wells Fargo production systems and customers to the greatest extent possible with the time allotted. Ensure all efforts are documented and consumable as an auditable record that provides clarity of Quality Engineering service scope and limitations for every request. Gather requirements for and create documented test plan, test scenarios, test cases, and test procedures in alignment with the ECS Quality Engineering testing strategies. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of expected results for each step in test procedures. Review and iterate the test plan, scenarios, cases, procedures, and expected results with development and release partners prior to testing execution. Partner with development, release, and project teams to define processes, procedures, systems, data, and roles that support efficiently executing the test strategy, plans, and scenarios Represent Quality Engineering with active engagement in all relevant request meetings to support effective test strategy, planning and scenario/case definition. Work with leadership and partners to assess opportunities to increase assurance being provided and prioritize the value of the risk mitigated by each opportunity and feasibility to implement. Incorporate these into testing strategy, plans, scenarios, cases as they are implemented. Establish, follow, and cause to be followed, repeatable best-practice test execution and defect management standards and procedures that meet leadership, partner, audit expectations. Measure, understand, and continuously improve compliance with procedures for test execution and defect management Execute and cause to be executed all test cases timely and agilely to support ECS requirements, escalating timely and effectively with partners and leadership as needed when requirements exceed capacity to meet them. Document execution and results of test cases consistently and timely in Enterprise system of record, HP ALM, as the auditable source in alignment with ECS Quality Engineering standards for consistency. Document and report timely all defects in HP ALM in alignment with ECS Quality Engineering standards, including all failed test steps in a test case or blocking ability to execute test cases.
