Job Description Engineer: HTTP, SSL, Software Implementation, Windows Environment Troubleshooting Prob

Description:

Key Responsibilities will include:
Splunk search and reporting - onboarding data into Splunk
Learn and champion new technologies and new versions of best-of-breed industry products.
Analyze and troubleshoot deployment or systemic issues with enterprise software applications.
Develop and share best practices on installing, configuring and maintaining software applications.
Document and publish findings and recommendations.
Advocate adoption of best practices during customizations, integrations and other implementation activities

The ideal candidates will have experience in a medium to large IT environment with the skills listed below, supporting an infrastructure for a vendor applications similar in size to our Splunk and App Dynamics infrastructure.

Required Skills:
Splunk data onboarding experience in large enterprise company
Splunk dashboards
Splunk Admin certification is a plus
Solid understanding of Application and Infrastructure Performance Management
Knowledge of infrastructure components and their key performance metrics
Internet Information Services (HTTP, SSL)
Previous experience with large software implementations in a Windows environment
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills.
Shows initiative and works with a sense of urgency.
Ability to maintain an enterprise level perspective while understanding how all system level components interact.
Advanced technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving skills
Analyzes data from various sources to determine next steps

Preferred Skills:
VMWare VSphere 5.x or higher
Powershell
App Dynamics
In-depth knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns
Experience with multi-platform applications (mainframe and distributed)
Experience with Linux Infrastructure is a plus
Experience with BMC Patrol is a plu
