This is an opportunity to work with an advanced cyber security team that is operating on the cutting-edge of information security. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the various domains of information technology including but not limited to security, network design, network management, enterprise systems administration, and storage systems and/or big-data solutions. The candidate will work independently and with other team members to design, deploy, improve, and support solutions for security event detection, analysis, incident response, investigations, and forensics. The responsibilities of the position include the following: Build relationships with clients and partner security teams to understand and develop requirements. Evaluate 3rd party and open source security products and solutions Collaborate on the design and implementation planning for threat management systems deployed on the global network. Provide ongoing hardware and software support for existing systems. Develop solutions to accommodate new event sources, automate event analysis, and correlate events for investigations Perform online troubleshooting, upgrades, and break/fix Produce high quality documentation Coordinate with teams to resolve issues, including escalation and tracking Discover and resolve problems involving security infrastructure Automate routine tasks The technologies that are in scope for the position include the following: Cisco NetFlow Cisco IDS/IPS Cisco ASA Cisco ISE Sourcefire FireAMP Sourcefire NGIPS IronPort WSA Splunk Lancope StealthWatch Various log source such as host, network, DHCP, DNS, AD, 802.1x, NAT, and VPN logs VMWare and other virtualization stacks Deep packet inspection systems Host-based anti-virus and HIDS solutions Oracle RDBMS Apache Hadoop Job Requirements The following skills and competencies are required for the position: BS/MS in computer science or related degree and 5+ years of experience Broad knowledge and experience in the various domains of information technology. Strong experience with a wide variety of Networking technologies Experience in network design and support with thorough understanding of TCP/IP and common protocols. Working knowledge of the Linux and Windows platforms, and enterprise systems administration practices. Demonstrated experience in technology solution design and deployment Strong problem resolution/analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions. Strong work prioritization, planning, and organizational skills. Strong listening, communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills. Strong documentation skills with attention to detail. Strong troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of a project. Prefer candidates with one or more of the following certifications: CCNA, CCDA, CCIE, CISSP An operational knowledge of core security technologies, including IDS, ASA, Netflow, and the Sourcefire and Ironport product lines.
