The Senior PL/SQL Developer will function as a technical resource/analyst in an agile development environment to maintain and participate in the implementation of a Medical Claims Adjudication System. This position will be responsible for the development (primary) and maintenance (secondarily) of applications in a team environment consisting of both employees and contractors. This position will partner closely with the business stakeholders, project manager, architect, and other IS staff. This position requires critical thinking and problem solving abilities to address complex issues for Medical Claims administration. Deep domain experience in Medical Claims processing, EDI - X.12 (835/837) transactions sets are mandatory requisites. REQUIRED SKILLS: -ICD-10 standards -HIPAA X.12 transaction sets -Read 835/837 files in XML -Minimum 6+ years of experience with hands-on PL/SQL development in Oracle -Minimum 6+ years of experience with logical/physical data design -Experience with Oracle 12c preferred -Experience supporting Java applications on an Oracle database -Excellent analytical skills, time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi task, ability to routinely make effective and timely decisions in alignment with management direction is required -Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required -Advanced degree preferred Other claims systems experience that could be considered: - Facets - Trizetto - V3 - Eldorado RESPONSIBILITIES: -Support application development in an Oracle 12c environment -Work both independently and as part of an Agile (SCRUM) development team -Design and develop PL/SQL objects and programs -Develop and maintain an enterprise data model of all production database applications -Analyzing performance issues and providing recommendation based on testing results -Proactively diagnose and resolve problems affecting database -Maintain database configurations in compliance with release management and change management policies -Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
