Perform PSB/ACBGEN/online change requests, DB restore requests, DRD requests Ability to liaise with and provide support to developers on IMS development works Analyze and resolve problems reported by developers Monitor database performance and space utilization, tune databases Analyze application requirements for database changes, recommend solutions and implement/promote changes from test regions to production Perform validation of fixes as well as IMS upgrades IMS Database Administrator (DBA) with excellent skills in support of IMS. Required skills: minimum 8 years of experience working as an IMS DBA in a production support environment. In addition, should possess consultant knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Ability to assess overall database environment and make recommendations for leading edge tools, practices required to maintain a very stable environment in a high volume transactional IMS database with the expectation for 0 outage Required Technical Skill Set: 1. Solid IMS DB/DC database administration skills, minimum 8 years of experience. 2. Very knowledgeable with CA Database Organizer (DBO) IMS databases utilities, minimum 3 year experience 3. HALDB conversion/maintenance working experience 4. IMS Online reorg CA FFOR and IBM OLR working experience 5. IBM IMS and Z/OS utilities: IBM IMS change accum, DBRC, OSAM/VSAM utilities, IMS log analysis utilities, IEB* utilities, SYNCSORT 6. TSO/ISPF, JCL, Z/OS Preferred Technical Skill Set: 7. IMS logical relationships, DRD, SPOC 8. Parallel Sysplex 9. CA ENDEVOR, CA7, SYSVIEW, CA1 10. REXX 11. SMS 12. Microsoft products: MS OFFICE, MS-EXCEL, MS-WORD 13.
