This person will lead in collecting information from practice leaders & subject matter experts about their functional areas. This includes vision, processes, services, operational goals, & Key performance indicators. This person will follow, create or update guidelines and standards already in place to build these guides with an emphasis on common standards, connectivity and ease of use by readers of all types including (staff, leadership, audit, compliance, & internal customers). ~40% Knowledge Management support operational management, architecture and administration of Sharepoint for the KM practice. Using a deep knowledge of document centers, libraries, complex lists, information and knowledge sharing, this person will help to manage all documents, lists and knowledge articles for KMs supported practices. Support in various duties under KM including Training facilitation, scheduling, planning for 15+ supported practice areas. Support for Divisional Knowledge Manager to identify, process and manage Knowledge articles in the corporate (ITSM) IT Service Management system [ServiceNow]. o Key Requirements: Personal soft skills (Interviewing, understanding, communications, translating verbal to written) Excellent business and executive level communication skills. Knowledge of Service Transition operational & functional areas. Leadership of Technical writing staff (Prefer technical writing background earlier in career) Sharepoint 2013 Administration & structure including deep knowledge of document centers, libraries, complex lists, information and knowledge sharing. ITIL Service Transition Certification o Primary responsibilities Expert proficiency with the latest Microsoft Office tools. Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language. Meet with customer representatives, or publishers to establish technical specifications. Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and process samples. Create user documentation for a variety of material Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson. Gather information on their subjects in libraries and on the web. Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts. Ensure fields flow in the correct sequence. Write articles and reports on current trends in fields such as science and engineering. Write clear and concise policies and procedures. Follow a life cycle called document development life cycle. Support Training facilitation, scheduling, and planning Support for Divisional Knowledge Manager Conduct online tutorials. o Plus Requirements Working background in any or all of the following disciplines: Centers of Excellence, project or other Management Offices, Software Tool Management, Defect Management, Software Quality Assurance, Test Data management, Test environments management, Release management, Testing Automation, Metrics and Reporting, Knowledge Management.
