Summary of Duties: Certify Data Systems is looking for a Software Engineer working with the software engineering team continue to add industry leading features to our flagship product, HealthLogix HIE. Role Essentials • Working knowledge of designing, developing and testing web applications on a variety of Linux platforms including database and application updates. • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science • Familiarity with Red Hat or CentOS, SQL and Java a must. Role Desirables • Experience in Agile Development environments • Familiarity with Groovy and Grails • Familiarity with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat • A Plus if familiar with Hudson/Jenkins CI system • Recent Grads accepted Reporting Relationships You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer Notes directly from manager to this position: “Some clarification is needed. We arent working at the OS level but we require developers who are comfortable with command line interfaces because our product runs on Linux. Windows only Java developers may struggle in our environment. The code is OS independent but the environment for installation, debugging and developing is not. Groovy/Grails is desired from an experience point of view because it is fairly new and the candidate pool is smaller than Java developers. It is a must have that they be willing to learn Groovy and Grails as our product is written in it. We have found that most engineers actively managing their careers are interested in learning Grails.
