Information about the Washington Military Department is available at http://mil.wa.gov. The department is requesting price quotes to purchase and obtain a customization. FUNDING PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The period of performance of any contract resulting from this RFQ is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about April 10, 2018 through June 27, 2018. SCOPE OF WORK Customize a SharePoint website for the Washington Military Department (Department) that allows its users to view internal news, add section specific documentation, share files with internal or external partners, and is accessible externally from our network. This SharePoint Site will be either developed within our environment or migrated once design is completed into our environment. The SharePoint site must meet ADA accessibility guidelines, user authentication Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) regulatory requirements, manage our business workflow process, and provide a way to allow customization of the application configuration natively within the website. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS WEBSITE REQUIREMENTS: • Website environment will be provided, designs and web parts must integrate with our SharePoint site • Accessible for all employees, across all networks, including remote employees not on any WA Military Department network • Ability to scale to thousands of users if needed up to approx. 9000 users • Easy or simple sign in feature with administrative controls and verification of users • Ensure consistent look and feel along all major browser while maintaining compatibility especially in the following (Internet explorer 11, Edge 16, Firefox 58, and Chrome 64) • User-friendly layout. Intuitive, simple navigation • Able to host blogs, videos, photo galleries, newsletters, documents and other resources, etc. • Separate pages for departments/divisions • Site-wide search functionality • Events calendar • Ideally, be social- allow users to create a profile with their photo and allow them to participate in discussion boards and interact with content as themselves • Simple self-registration and password resetting • Social media integration — embed our WA Military Department Twitter/Facebook feeds • Responsive design that is accessible and appealing via mobile devices   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
