Project input into the Clients Geospatial IT strategy, activities, and future development plans. Complete GIS development, prototype and pilot items, as directed. Development of interactive maps for web or mobile Demonstrate IT GIS capabilities to stakeholders and end-users Pilot or prototype map design options, features, etc. Work with sponsors to accomplish the goals of Office of the Chief Strategic Officer and cross-component GIS initiatives. Provide recommendations to the Clients Geospatial Workgroup Complete documents, briefings, and other materials as requested by the Client Develop GIS content as directed by the Client Provide content to GIS IT workplans, etc. Submit weekly status reports (WSRs) that provide a clear description of the work completed over the previous week and key work areas going forward Submit monthly status reports (eTPRs) that summarize the work completed over the past month succinctly and effectively Key Areas of Demonstrated Knowledge & Expertise: 1. Map developer with ArcGIS experience 2. Experience with the development of maps for web portal or mobile consumption as directed by the Client, including interactive field office maps, congressional district maps, regional interactive maps, GIS tools, etc. 3. Expertise in handling a variety of formats including XML, JSON, HTML, CSV, and RDF (these are examples of the type of files and delivery mechanisms that will be used in delivering data and used in maintain and building a catalogue) 4. Advanced web development skills, including content management, file conversion, and version control techniques 5. Specific skills in Geospatial development and ESRI GIS mapping software 6. Team player mentality and willingness to assist the project team in multiple areas (including those that may be outside of the initial task order requirements) Secondary Areas of Demonstrated Knowledge & Expertise: 1. Knowledge of the principals of Open Government and Data.gov 2. Clear understanding of the Digital Government Strategy and Project Open Data 3. Experience with the governments Geospatial platforms, tool sets, and strategy 4. Experience with the Federal Shared Services Cloud for Geospatial development 5. Demonstrated knowledge of the linkage between data.gov and the USGS Geospatial platform and how data is consumed 6. Experience with internal architectures and how the architectures engage with an external platform 7. IT Project Management capabilities 8. Knowledge of IT life cycle development 9.
