Telematics Test team provides software test activities for the Cummins Telematics Platform and an array of Telematics applications and services, from ECM OS Layer interfaces to cloud-based web, database and reporting technologies. Additional resources are required to assure timely delivery of the Cummins Telematics product line. Objectives: - Provide software test & validation lifecycle deliverables (test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports) across the software development lifecycle. Includes participation in requirements analysis, test case design for requirements coverage, test execution and results documentation across multiple applications - Work directly with Analysts & Developers for test deliverables - Identify issues and/or concerns that may require creating/maintain defect tracking as part of the software development lifecycle Assignment DETAILS: The resource to carry out this work is needed for approximately 12 months to support a peak in work for the Cummins Telematics Test Team. We are looking for resource availability as soon as possible. This resource needs to be on-site at Cummins COB and/or GOB 1. must have a minimum of 2 years software test experience in the following areas: Web Applications, JAVA; Web Services; XML/JSON messaging; Queuing technologies; SQL Database Experience; Multi-threaded processing; Extract-Transform-Load; Role-based User Authentication and security; Reporting Technologies; Automated Test Development (a plus) 2. must have experience using Agile Development Methodology. 3. must have experience using a formal Defect Tracking and Management tool in the Software Development Lifecycle 4. must have experience communicating with developers regarding root cause analysis and problem resolution Candidates with senior test design/development lifecycle skills that demonstrate experience in automated test development as well will be given higher consideration.
