Job Description : Developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation processes, practices, and controls in support of application and system requirement, development and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment lifecycles. Leads and consults on test automation strategy, requirement, design, implementation and execution. 7 years. Story Behind The Need: These CWs will report directly to the manager of engineering – ST for the UCP Commerce QE team. Theyll ultimately roll up to support the Unified Commerce Platform. Theyll work with a core team of SDETs to help supplement the workload of the existing team. The team is writing a few features to support Stars-For-Everyone (SFE), referring to the existing code and using additional APIs to help write the new functionality. These CWs will also be communicating with the vendor dev team in Colombia. As a lot of the dev work is done overseas. Typical Day in the Role: Write automation in SCALA against various pods/ microservices we have Writing the test plans, and then validating before shipment Analyze upcoming platform feature and service integrations for needed test coverage Creating test plans and test cases needed to ensure the quality of these features Developing automated tests needed to support new cases Ensuring that automated tests are integrated and execute reliably in our CI/CD environments Analyzing daily test results for failures and filing appropriate defects Drive defects your tests identified are properly prioritized and driven to resolution Need additional test plans written and codes Interact with other SDETs and QE members to understand systems and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective testing. Participate in efforts to share testing technology and expertise within the company. Perform tasks efficiently and work together with team to ensure project success. Creates and manufactures test data needed for execution or database population.
