Description:
The MoDOT Sign Management System (SMS) is an enterprise computing system used in the management of the lifecycle
of MoDOT roadway signs and sign assemblies. MoDOT is currently responsible for 33,000 miles of roadway.
These roadways have approximately one million signs and assemblies that must be maintained. The SMS system consists
of installing, tracking, warehousing, transferring, and replacing of signs. A piece of the SMS system is the Work Orders.
The Work Orders system tracks all of the tasks necessary to repair or replace signs and assemblies along the roadways.
The MoDOT Traffic division required an enterprise system to manage all aspects pertaining to sign assemblies, and to
ensure that roadway signs are managed and cataloged accurately and consistently. After several attempts to develop a sign
system to meet their needs, the concept of the Sign Management System was introduced. It entered the analysis and
development phases in July of 2008.

The following enhancements are included in this enhancement request:
Redesign Group Work Requests.
Create Unique Work Request Number.
Modify Error Box for approvals.
Display Work Orders for intersecting travelways.
Send emails to notified users.
Create New Installation functionality.
Add a Map Link on the Work Order Details.
Remove Date Range on Priorities for Inspection and Work Orders.
Modify Assembly Notes Date and Time.
Add Reconfigure category to Assembly.
Add 7 additional fields to Work Order.
Change Auto Load to Search.
Add Verification Box when updating Assembly.
Display Inspector Name on Detail.
Remove Update Lat and Long notification display.
Add district to the Maintenance Supervisor dropdown.
Add Tway ID to the Work Order .pdf document.
