The test engineers role is to work as part of DevOps team to do both manual and automated tests, and take a significant role in automating the various testing functions. Testing will ensure the new system is functional and integrated end to end, performs to deliver the optimum results, by working with product, development, and operations teams to drive system integration, load testing, performance testing in an agile development and agile operations environment. The test engineer is an expert in sound testing philosophies, tools, and test automation frameworks to enable successful completion of each release and operational stability. Besides system testing expertise, test engineer is experienced in Content Management Systems, especially Video or Mobile video focused content delivery. Requirements Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, Engineering, Technology or related field and3yearsof experience performing software testing and test automation. 3-5 years experience with test automation, and application software testing application software based on Open source/ Java/SQL/RESTFul paradigm, servers and database software (both SQL and no-SQL) in a large scale environment, with agile development, and continuous integration environments, with test driven development. Qualifications 1. DevOps focused experience, with experience in developing automated testing in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environments. 2. Experience with automation testing using Selenium Webdriver (with Java), Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, Maven, Git. 3. Experience using functional web testing and debugging tools such as Firebug, SoapUI, Charles HTTP Proxy, jQuery etc. 4. Familiarity working on AWS and Cloud based environments. 5. Experience in collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence 6. Experience in test management tools such as TestRail, or UFT is desired. 7. Familiarity with command line and SQL scripting, including bash and shell scripting desired. 8. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player. 9. Experience with Agile development/ Kanban processes, and be able to represent team with peer teams and management. Develop reports, dashboards. 10. Experience with video playback, mobile video and VOD, and Cable Labs metadata spec. 11.
