It started with Financial Crimes but it is moving to encompass compliance too which is a very large effort. The right candidate will have 5-8 years experience minimum in data projects. Be familiar with data models, data quality metrics, Meta data topics and write at least one form of ANSI SQL. The purpose of this role is to work with all our model and program managers to catalog their data as a phase 1 of a larger effort helping ensure proper controls and risk-mitigating factors are in place upstream of internal data compliance consumption. Top Requirements: 1) Resource needs to help Wells Fargo to create a repeatable process around data maps and creating stated linage 2) Project experience with Data Mapping and an Architect background is a nice to have or at least a working understanding of Architectural concepts 3) Need to understand and read SQL along with strong Data Mapping skills 4) Need to be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently Day to Day: You will be gathering data about programs, reports and applications. The data from the Programs, Reports, and Applications comes via SASS. This is a big staple to FC area. They create programs (response to regulation or policy) that retrieve different kinds of data through DW, run through routines (simple to complex processes), which produces alerts Reporting program = consume data, do work on it, and comes out as a reporting view. Data in, small work, data out. Cataloged about 280. They try to understand data input, the people that are relative to it. Small relationship database in SQL. There are a whole new set of reports that are coming (Compliance). Another part will be to take on new set of input data for these reports. The second part of this SSRS that uses SQL and completes. Not a lot of reporting work done but this is a nice to have bc youd be working with this group who does. The segment they are working on this year is “applications” – could be a tool, a work stream.
