Works closely with other functions to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps. Works with less structured, more complex issues. Be an active participant on the Scrum team. Utilize solid development skills and gain an understanding of software architecture using Kafka Deliver on customer commitments and help them troubleshoot their platform clusters Help establish an enterprise wide offering of Kafka What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? Operational aspects will be the main component of this role, so DevOps experience is also required. Full understanding of streaming architecture, managing workloads at multiple cloud providers, collaborating with people across different platforms. Configuration, deployment, monitoring and alerting will all be in scope. What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? Kafka, Azure/GCP/AWD, Terraform, Git, Github, Jenkins, Drone, implementing application level metrics (Prometheus, influx/telegraph) This resource should have strong working experience with the Confluent/Kafka Streaming data product. The resource should also have experience leveraging Kafka to write services to access the stream that are communicating with the back end data sources. The resource should to be an accomplished architect and developer with prior experience designing for scalability, performance, and security.
