Job Description Consultant: Desktop Support Technician, LAN/WAN, Status Reporting, Visio Troubleshooting Load Balancing Rou

Responsibilities

Are you a tech & IT geek? We have a 24-month project with our client in Brooklyn, NY that requires a Desktop Support, Expert

Providing, supporting and designing network connectivity for all DOE applications and services that travers the network infrastructure is critical for the business and day-to-day operations.

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

The candidate will provide support Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Operations Manager, Publisher, and Unity for VoIP environments at various locations.
Maintain and support a large enterprise network connecting a citywide environment of over 1200 locations.
Candidate will provide support day to day operations that include routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, VoIP, and VPN.
Work closely with the Network Operations Center to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
Perform day-to-day network administration tasks including network equipment installation, configuration, upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.
Candidate will provide WAN support for initiatives that revolve around our optical backbone.
The candidate will be responsible for maintenance and support of network technologies that sustain data center operations.
The candidate must configure load balancing for internal and external facing DOE applications.
Collaborate with various departments representing the network support team to design, test, and implement proposed solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting network performance issues and recommending appropriate solutions
Provide periodic network traffic and security status reporting.
Prepare network diagrams, floor plans, and schematics using Visio where required.
Respond to emergency calls in the evenings and on weekends regarding WAN / LAN outages.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms-beyond that of a programmer.
84+Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

84 Months performing day-to-day network administration tasks including network equipment installation, configuration, upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.
84 Months experience maintaining and supporting a large enterprise network connecting a citywide environment of over 1200 locations.
84 Months experience with Wide Area Network architecture and operational support
84 Months experience and expertise with Cisco Nexus family of switches, Cisco Nexus 9k/7k,5k, Cisco ASR, Cisco ISR, & Cisco Catalyst Switch, Cisco ACI or VMware NSX
84 Months experience with routing protocols such as, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP v2.
84 Months experience with application load-balancing products such as F5 LTM and F5 GTM.
84 Months experience monitoring, troubleshooting and diagnosing routing and switching issues.
84 Months experience with high level designs and documentation.
Cisco Certified Network Professional
