This position is currently HYBRID. However, position status is subject to change.

Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidates expense. No designated work-space will be assigned however, selected candidate must be available to work at our location as needed. DCF work location is 201 W. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53703. DCF does not pay for travel time or reimburse for travel expenses.

Description :

Service sarchitecture and solutions.
They will support the creation of strategies and effectivelyevaluate and coordinate the implementation of the Agency infrastructurecore systems and software applications. Job activities willinclude analysis, coordination, installation,and maintenance of our Agency systems,software, and related infrastructure components.

They will also serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Technical Officer to contribute to, review, and implement technical systems roadmaps, analyze roles and responsibilities, and advise on how they should be divvied between various technical teams for new and emerging technologies and services.

The System Architect will seek to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of applications they manage meet the needs of the users and ensure that Agency compliance with policies and regulatory requirements are met. This Architect will have an integral liaison role in working with the Department of Administration (DOA),Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) infrastructure teams to architect new systems, review existing technology, or evaluate performance on any of the Agency Core systems. They will also be required to create Visio diagrams for Core systems including all components, interfaces, and their connectivity connections as needed to define the architecture of our existing systems or new technology being considered.The Candidate should have advanced level knowledge of core Microsoft and VMware technologies.

On-call and/or after business hours are required with this position.

1. Selected candidate will be required to provide personal equipment for remote work. Technical specifications of hardware are:
Home Internet Service: Minimum 20 Mbit down and 5 Mbit up. Capability to plug in network (cat 5a or better) cable to the computer.

- Memory: Minimum 4 GB, Preferred 8 GB+
- Processor (CPU): Any 32-bit or 64-bit running 2 Gigahertz (GHz) or faster
- Graphics card that supports Direct3D 11 Video
- Installation of the latest VMware Horizon Client
Apple Computers
- Operating System: MacOS: 10.14, 10.15, or 11
- Memory: Minimum 4GB, preferred 8 GB+
- Processor (CPU): Any 64-bit Intel-based Mac or ARM M1-based Mac running in emulation with Rosetta 2
- Installation of the latest VMware Horizon Client
It is required to have full audio/video conferencing capabilities (camera and headset).
