The selected candidate will perform in the Business Analyst role for the IT Division of the Department of Justice, working closely with the Project Manager, Project Team, Project Stakeholders, and product vendors. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: ? Working with end users and Project stakeholders to understand the business process and gather requirements ? Perform work in accordance with industry and agency recognized guidelines and practices ? Documenting business and functional requirements and specifications, work flows and high level data flows ? adhere to established policy and procedures with respect to business analysis, quality assurance and other related standards ? Testing: Produce test plan, test cases ? Conduct QA acceptance testing ? Assist with user acceptance testing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: ? Excellent written and oral communication skills ? Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed requirements and conduct testing ? Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Visio; Willingness to work with new tools, applications, and software Ability To: ? Resolve simple application problems independently ? Translate and communicate concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users ? Interact effectively with clients, management, and project team ? Prioritize tasks involving requirements analysis and testing ? Work independently with minimal supervision.
