The candidate should be a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data at rest encryption technologies particularly as they pertain to IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL and big data storage technologies. Candidate should also be an SME in designing and engineering solutions for data in transit particularly in an environment composed of Cisco, F5, Microsoft, AIX and VMWARE components. Candidate should be able to, working with the clients security architects, security system engineers, and enterprise architects, implement and troubleshoot Native Encryption across our various platforms for data at rest and in transit. Candidate should be able to review existing application code and determine, working with the clients application architects, how best to enable data encryption solutions. Tasks: Review existing data encryption analysis and provide input on requirements for request for proposal on data encryption technologies Participate in overall architecture discussions with SBPASC architects on data encryption solution architectures Review and provide guidance on how to migrate systems and processes to use data encryption solutions from a schedule, performance and security perspective Review infrastructure configurations Participate and guide installation of data encryption solutions into the different SBPASC environments Implement and troubleshoot Native Encryption across the SBPASC environments Implement and troubleshoot encryption of JDBC connections Required Qualifications: Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Database Management, Requirements Analysis, Project Management, Presenting Technical Information, Training , Operating Systems Experience administering MS SQL Server, UDB (LUW). DB2 z/OS desired for Transparent Data Encryption Strong experience with Partitioning and Oracle DBA Functions Skills: Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical) Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision Strong analytical and documentation skills Strong requirements elicitation, specification, and validation knowledge and experience Excellent time management ability Self-starter with ability to work independently and flexibly, and collaboratively across all levels of associates.
