Description:

Project Manager needed to manage the migration of clients (departments) from the Google Suite of office products, including email to MS O365.

Client ensures projects meet business expectations and actively guides projects to successful completion. Client is a technology service provider in the state government. Providing excellent customer service to assist agencies with achieving their business goals is part of our mission. Within the PMO the is an immediate need for Project Manager to manage the migration of clients (departments) from the Google Suite of office products, including email to MS O365.

This is a high-profile project that touches every aspect of the state governments ability to serve the citizens, and the person selected for this position will report directly to the Division Administrator. We are looking for expertise in implementing 0365. Preferable to have someone who has worked on changing from Google to 0365.

Most agencies were migrated to Google a few years ago. Recently, agencies have been allowed to use O365, and there is an increased demand for agencies to move to 0365, which is driving the need for the project. In this new project, the Project Manager will work with the clients (IT) and the individual departments (Business),

Day to day duties include but not limited to:

• Track requests for quotes from agencies. Managing, prioritizing, and reporting will become important
• Coordinate the quote request between the agency and Insight. Insight always has a series of questions for clients to answer to provide the quotes, so there is also coordination between Insight and client that is needed.
• Set expectations upfront. Not everything migrates. This is not just an email/calendar/Drive migration, etc. This is one of those areas that the PM will need to develop a checklist. Each agency will have a different level of expectation and preparedness.
• Attend planning sessions, assign, and track takeaways from these meetings following up on them with assignees to keep the next meeting on track.
• Provide ongoing communication between agency, Insight, and client throughout the migration project.
• Reporting project status through Smartsheets and in-house time reporting system. Written communication to project sponsors within client and agency stakeholders.
• Project status reports for leadership at each agency.
• Coordinate communication, roll out, and training plans with the agency point person.
• Follow up with agency post-migration to do a postmortem on the project and identify ways to improve. Also, to ensure Insight is providing sufficient support.
Requirements (firm)
• PMP Certification required
• Experience migrating to 0365 suite--not just email, but the entire ecosystem

• Strong written and verbal skills
