Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs The Release Management responsibilities also include building and maintaining the Release Calendar, managing the scope of multiple release candidates concurrently, and working closely with the scrum masters and product managers to ensure we have a centralized view of all app releases enterprise wide. Leads the effort to define the strategic direction for release management tools to ensure the process requirements of release management are built in. The Release Manager will assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured. Skills Overview: What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate? 2+ years experience as a software or applications release manager 2+ years experience as a software or applications project manager or scrum master Thorough understanding of Release Management as it pertains to Application Development Relevant work experience in an Agile environment, SAFe knowledge/experience a plus What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role? Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus Agile, PMP or PMI-ACP accreditation or comparable certification What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role? 1. Must be organized and possess Strong strategic and analytical skills 2. Must be able to communicate, set expectations, and facilitate based on hard deadlines. 3. Experience successfully managing both on and off shore teams 4. Ability to build strong and useful relationships across large organizations 5. Proven track-record of technical leadership 6.
