Provides technical leadership, advice, and mentoring to: DBAs, application developers, project leaders, and business users. Designs large, complex, business-critical databases based on business requirements gathered from application development teams and business users. Ensures compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements. Provide support for complex software installation and maintenance, including major upgrades. Understanding of and commitment to protecting the integrity, security and privacy of the firms critical business data. Promote data quality and enforce data integrity Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years experience on the following in a Linux environment: installing MongoDBs OpsManager, deploying MongoDB clusters with an Automation Agent, setting up Monitoring Agents, building a cluster with replica sets or shards, setting up point in time backups, and monitoring database and process performance Experience setting up Kerberos authentication with MongoDB as well as the ability to troubleshoot authentication issues Experience setting up TLS encryption with MongoDB as well as ability to troubleshoot issues Experience installing and setting up MongoDB Compass Ability to set up shard keys for collections as well as indexes to optimize performance Ability to set up role-based access control with integration to Active Directory 5-8 years of experience with Linux system administration specializing in: RPM installation / building, bash scripting for automation, and troubleshooting issues. Optimizing database/query performance Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to make or review decisions on problems with high visibility, and high risk to the firm Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in business terms Excellent relationship-management, organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor Provide feedback on peers to the leaders Experience in the following areas is a plus: Worked with over 2 TB MongoDB installation MongoDB certification from MongoDB University Development experience In depth knowledge of SANs Other RDMS platforms Knowledge of DevOps for Database a plus.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
