The environment contains multiple platforms of NetApp hardware, NetApp software, and other infrastructure products. Also responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and applying best practices for the environment. Job Responsibilities Responsible for ongoing management of configuration and layout of storage infrastructure. Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with NetApp best practices and Company change management policies. Designs data migration architecture as required. .Responsible for ongoing recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving. Responsible for Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable. Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable. Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. Rotational 24x7 On-Call Support Basic Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess the following skills/experience: 7 years experience with NetApp technology is a must. .Hands on experience on ONTAP 7.x and 8.x Hands on experience with local and remote replication using snapshot, snapmirror, snapvault and flexclone Configuration and administration of vfilers Ability to troubleshoot complex database performance issues . Good scripting knowledge Identify and consult on best practices to assist customer in avoiding provisioning issues. NFS concepts including (but not limited to) netgroups, NFS export interaction, NFS export cache, performance and troubleshooting, collecting perfstat analysis files and analysis or excellent case resolution skills utilizing NetApp support. .Data migration experience including moving SnapMirror sources from old systems to new systems. NDU - Non-Disruptive Upgrade experience critical in a high-uptime, mission critical environment a must. Familiarity with CIFS and ability to diagnose connectivity issues, authentication, and AD membership issues. Experience in configuring multiprotocol shares Data migration experience - Scripting in a Unix or Windows environment. Operations Manager, provisioning, protection and system manager experience - familiarity with OM structure, keeping OM server healthy, adding new hosts, diagnosis and repair of OM connectivity, and generation of custom reports and scheduling recurring reports. Strong customer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a customer-facing role is important. Preferred Qualifications: NCDA is preferred, but not required.
