Job Description Developer: OSI, DB Performance, LAN/WAN, QA AWR Performance Tuning CC++ Virtualiz

Start Date :08/23/2016

Description :


· Be the performance expert on key projects to evaluate and improve the performance

· Lead cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives to improve product performance

· Drive department wide product creation improvements in response time, capacity, scalability, reliability, resource utilization and data integrity

· Architect overarching solutions for all performance engineering to follow

· Conduct technical presentations to educate teams on how to improve performance

· Analyze metrics and trends to highlight performance opportunities for improvements

· Work extensively with various cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. development, QA, product management, middleware ops)

· Responsible for test design, execution using Loadrunner and analysis as well as final sign-off decision for feature releases

· Root cause analysis of performance problems using Oracle tools (AWR reports) Java profiler, Linux command (dstat, jstat, etc.)





Qualifications:

· Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or other technical field

· 7 to 10 yrs of hands on performance engineering expertise

· Understanding of Requirement gathering process

· Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g C/C++/Java/Java Scripts)

· Good understanding of protocols and OSI Layer

· Strong Load Testing experience using Load Runner/Performance Center

· Strong monitoring skills

· Good knowledge on app, web, DB servers and OS

· Experience in Network concepts(ping, trace route, routing table, DNS functions, subnet mask, etc)

· Knowledge on LAN/WAN networks

· Experience with Server Farms

· Knowledge on Virtualization

· Knowledge on Cloud computing will be an advantage

· Knowledge on Session creation techniques

· Knowledge on Caching
