The system consists of two presentation mechanisms. A client/server application called FamilyNet and a J2EE application called i-FamilyNet. Both systems interact with the same backend database. DCF seeks a Senior Business Analyst to participate in the modernization of remaining mission critical business functions in FamilyNet by migration of the said functions to i-FamilyNet application. At the end of migration FamilyNet will be sunset. The migration strategy is to design, develop and implement these functions in i-FamiyNet. Current project team is a mix of employees and consultants. Selected individual will work with i-FamilyNet Project Manager and other team members to manage this important endeavor. Responsibilities : o Facilitates cross-functional team meetings to develop and implement business solutions and optimize operations, conducts impact analysis of upgrades and changes for department/functional areas, and evaluates systems and business processes for feasibility. o Analyzes information needs and functional requirements, evaluates information gathered, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from underlying true needs. o Develops requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language and standard UML methodologies. o Conduct integration testing of software to facilitate change management and quality assurance. This includes the development and implementation of standard test scenarios based on defined use cases. o Assist with application training to ensure the end users of the business applications fully understand all features and functionality. Train peers in subject matter and technical expertise areas. o Analyzes and assigns Change and defect management issues related to new development requests and production support. Qualifications : o Extensive experience in the following is required: o Gathering and documenting system requirements for information technology projects o Coordinating and deploying technical products to end users o Developing and implementing cross organizational business process flows o Creating test plans and test scripts o Conducting quality testing of software o Developing, maintaining and delivering end user training o Experience with SQL and relational database query – Oracle preferred o Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with internal and external audience and peers o Ability to communicate technical information (written and oral) to non-technical audience, to use relationship development skills and facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical personnel Education : • Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience &/or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), or related discipline.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
